Title: ArcadeVGA Problems - 200Hz - Poor windows picture
Post by: rezero on December 14, 2009, 08:46:39 pm
I have the ArcadeVGA card that I purchased a long time ago, and am just now getting around to installing due to overseas travel and a job change.  I followed everything on the instructions on the website, and think everything went pretty well.  The two questions I have are that my Systems/Device Manager is now showing 2 video cards.  One says Ultimarc…  and the Other says Secondary R9250…  They both have the same drivers.  When I go to the display settings, my computer is using the Ultimarc one with it set in 32bit mode, but when I look at the monitor it is reading a frequency of 200Hz.  The Secondary R9250 one is not being used but will not switch above 8-bit mode.  When I select 32-bit it defaults back to 8-Bit.  The screen looks okay in Mala, and on most games, but very poor in windows.  The screen is blurry and shakes and has speaker feedback in windows.  Since I do not have any experience with the card is this normal (the 200 Hz frequency and issues with windows).

My card is an AGP ATI R9250 series with a single VGA output.  I am running Mala/Mamegui combo.  I am not sure of my monitor but it is from a Mortal Kombat Machine with a standard 15khz-60khz monitor (the chassis says Wells Gardner 25k7193).

Lastly, I made my own connector from the arcadevga and the chassis.  The color and ground wires were obvious, but I put one wire to the –vSync and –Hsync instead of putting them both to the –hsync.

Any help would be appricated.

Tony

Did you try the TriSync util from Ultimarc?
