Title: Pinball Hall Of Fame Physics Error
Post by: DJ_Izumi on December 14, 2009, 08:00:35 pm
It would appear that PHOF for Xbox 360 decided to try to divide by zero and nullified that whole 'gravity' thing that it's physics model simulates.

Pinball Divides By Zero (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIZDf1HYBVU#)

This was taken on a camera phone so it's a bit blurry but you see it once my friend steps closer to the screen.  We were playing PHOF at our Christmas party as a good casual party game.  Another friend drains the ball on Arabian Nights to the left and the ball gets stuck on absolutely nothing.  If you look it's at the corner of the left drain, wobbling and it's actually slowly racking up points even.  However with a good nudge on the left analog stick the ball came free from the nothing that held it and it drained correctly.

It may not quite be the real thing but for $39.99 this game is so totally worth it, even if it has a few physics bugs. :P

I love this game too.  I was very skeptical playing a pin on a widescreen TV rotated the wrong way, but they did a pretty good job of it.

Just got done playing an hour of Taxi on the Wii version.  Really is a lot of fun.

I have the wii version as well.  It's fantastic, I've never played another pinball sim like it.  It's not perfect, but comes closer to the real feel than any other I've played.
