I just picked up a Karate Champ and I'm wondering what cabinet it is I picked up.
I THINK those are Wico balltops in there which leads me to believe that it may have been a Robotron? The cabinet shape looks similar.
Any ideas?

And, is that a mirror I see ?

I'll see if I can get better pics soon.
Yes, that is a mirror you see. But the cabinet looks like it was "bastardized". For example, it has a Horizontal bezel for a vertically mounted monitor. So the mirror may have been added after the fact.
Stay tuned.

It makes it look like the monitor is 2 feet behind the cabinet, LOL !!

OK, took some pics. Since I have to eventually sand and repaint the sides, I figured I'd quickly do it by hand so see what's underneath the fading black paint. Anyone recognize the artwork? Looks like a clown on a unicycle with balloons. Now I'm more baffled. :dizzy:
See pics below.

So I googled the words 'Unicycle balloon arcade' and the first result was 'Kick' and the side art matches what you found.

We have a winner! Thanks! I was just trying to Google "mame clown game" with no success.
I've actually played this before. Not my cup of tea. Boring. But it's surprising to learn that the mirror and horizontal bezel were intentional. :dunno
Thanks!

I'd never heard of it it either and it brings back no memories even from the youngest as a kid where places had old arcade machines still operating in the grocery store and such. I imagine it wasn't very popular. It doesn't even look very fun.

Different strokes for different folks, but I used to play the hell out if it in the arcade. Definitely good for a change of pace, IMO.

I played it as "Kick Man" on my C64 all the time
