Hey everyone,
I am regretfully selling 2 sticks I had made by Byrdo.
Stick 1: --360 or PS3-- $300
http://byrdo.org/Album186.htm (http://byrdo.org/Album186.htm)
Stick 2: --Wired for 360-- $250
http://byrdo.org/Album176.htm (http://byrdo.org/Album176.htm)
I really don't won't to get rid of either of these, I just really need the money, and don't have enough time to use them. I have a bunch more pictures if needed. Email/Message if you are interested or have any questions. Thanks.

LOL @ $300...
-
That's one brave price, especially to be posting on a BYOAC forum...
Also, there's a BST section better suited for this post.
-
If you knew what his sticks go for, you wouldn't think that was a brave price( I sold another one a while ago for quite a bit more in less than 48 hours after posting). I am posting these on another forum as well, just wanted to make the offer to as many people as possible.
-
That's ever so kind of you. :D
-
They are certainly nice looking sticks. But...REALLY?! $300? Guess I'm not the target market for these kinds of sticks. :dunno
-
I realize I am new here but shouldn't this be somewhere else?

Yep. But there's a minimum number of posts needed before a troll user can post in B/S/T.
Someone may come along and want to buy these from him/her/it. But they aren't going to be regular readers who understand value/options/choices. Clearly, someone doesn't understand the words used in the acronym BYOAC.
And what are the odds of someone buying something from someone with just 1 post here?
-
someone appears to have bought them, but there's no way they came from here.
Those prices....:lol
-
It's a lot but it's not that crazy of a price. The materials are probably around $100 and I bet it takes about 10 hours or so to build one since it is so nicely finished. That said, I'd build one myself before ever shelling out that kind of money but still - I don't think it is totally insane other than the fact that this is a BYO site for exactly what he is selling.

Listen guys, I didn't mean to offend anyone here? I too have also built my own arcade sticks, and have worked on a few cabinet projects(this site is great). I am simply posting this here to see if anyone is interested, as well as another forum. If your not interested, thats fine. Like I said, people pay MUCH more for his work, not to mention there is often times a waiting list.
@hoopz, I understand value/options/choice, there simply are not that many people who possess the skill's/patience required to make sticks as nice this. It's really that simple. You guys understand the cost of the hardware, here is a rough estimate.
JLf - $25
6 seimitsu's - $24
3 24mm seimitsu's - $9
aluminum top and bottom plate - $25
360 pcb - $25
multi cthulhu - $35
curly maple - $30
Total = $173
Then what, roughly 10-12 hours in labor? How much is 10-12 hours of your time worth to you?? and like i said, it's not just about the cost of the materials/labor, but the quality of the stick. I realize most people here prefer to build themselves(which is great), but thought maybe someone might be interested in a nice custom as well. I guess I will stick to the other forum from now on.

You realize this is a "Build Your Own Arcade Controls" forum, right?
Granted, it's nice craftsmanship you got there, but most of the people here enjoy the "journey" as well as the outcome.
Sure the time is money equation can be applied here, but 10-12 hours of work is valued highly by most of us from a much less lazy stand-point.
If I were considering buying a nicely made stick, I would just get myself a TE stick for half the price...
I guess I will stick to the other forum from now on.
Don't let us ruffians deject you. :lol All we're trying to say is that this is a forum of people that like to build the stuff themselves. If you realized the spirit of this forum, than you would probably have thought twice. (now watch the buyer be a BYOAC member...this would be a foot-in-mouth moment for sure...)
I mean, to me, an item that I've built has waaaay more sentimental value, whether the quality is good or not, than anything I'd buy.

Hey opt2not,
I appreciate the response. Yes I agree, the reason I'm actually selling it is because I have too many sticks!!!!! I've built quite a few, and am currently building more. I can appreciate the 10-12 hour journey of the build, but again, it's just an option to see if people are interested that's all.
The Ragna stick is now sold (no, not from a BYOAC member, from another forum :) but the bamboo stick remains available. Oh, and that price includes USPS priority shipment.
-
Did you put these up on SRK?
-
on custom the traces of using are visible after month.
second hand/used custom stick = cut 50-75% price
and next point - never buy used japan parts, never.
-
Those are stunning and I don't doubt you could get that out of those, but as others said you are probably hitting the wrong test market here.
Be like me trying to sell a Shelf i built to Norm Abrams....
ah bad analogy..he would buy it out of pity i suspect.
-
I am still laughing at that one Diaz!!! :laugh2:
-
Both sticks are now sold.
-
Congrats , they were awesome looking. :applaud:
-
Byrdo sure seems to enjoy "borrowing" from the Udon Crew...

Now, people, you sure are a nice lot, incredibly helpful, I love hanging around here, yaddayaddayadda, but please (and this is only directed at some people who posted in this thread) - shut the ---fudgesicle--- up if you don't know what you're talking about, ok?
