I have a u5000 for an Off Road Challenge that I'm trying to get fixed. I'm thinking its a transistor problem (may even be a cap problem), but I'm unable to find a schematic with decent resolution to track down components. Is that even the proper place to start looking? (I mean the vertical output transistors). I worked for Namco Cybertainment for 9 years so I'm pretty decent with everything but monitors. We used to just ship bad chassis to our home office for repair. I'm a little new at old monitors, so be gentle :)

Well, you picked a wonderful candidate to learn on. :P

And you will need to see if all three of these "service kits" have been installed to correct the design flaws:

While this is true... I havent run across a U5000 that didnt already have all of these updates. Caps, U601 etc etc. if you still need a schematic let me know. they are also available all over the net as well
