Hi folks,
I'm looking for feedback on my CP layout. (see attached)
Sticks one and two are Ultimarc 360s. Sticks 3 and 4 are Happ Rotaries. All black bat handles.
I also have a blue Spintrak and clear blue U-Trak.
There is also a Happ digital trigger stick with restrictor.
The 2 blue buttons are mouse buttons. I also have 3 admin buttons in the middle. There are 2 buttons per player for player start and coin-up. 6 buttons each for players 1 and 2 and 4 buttons each for players 3 and 4.
All this will run on an Ipac2/32. The player 1 and 2 buttons will run off their respective sticks.
Pinball functionality will be provided by 2 flipper and 2 nudge buttons. One of each per side (left and right). There will be a Happ plunger with optical switch. There will also be a center nudge button.
There are also other little tidbits like LEDs and boards like the one needed for the rotary sticks and such but I don't think it matters as far as layout is concerned.
Thanks for your feedback in advance and please, be gentil. ;)

Are you going to play any golf games with the trackball? If so, you may want to reconsider your spinner location (you might smack your hand right into it after a hard gold shot).

Nope, no golf. Good feedback though.
Thanks

Also... where are the buttons that go with the trackball?

Be aware that you will have to map those rotary sticks for each game that uses it (since those are P3 and P4). You can use CFG Magician to make that an easier process.

Hey HarumaN,
I didn't plan for dedicated trackball buttons. My plan was to use player 1's buttons since they are close at hand. I could also use player 2 buttons if the need arises depending on what hand I would use for the trackball.

Hey bkenobi,
Yep, I thought I would need to map those rotaries. I'll give that CFG magician a try. I haven't decided on what emulator and frontend I will use. Can that CFG magician work with any emulator/frontend?
Thanks

CFG Magician is designed to build MAME cfg files in a more automated fashion. I've used it to configure my 2 player 7 button SF/NeoGeo layout the way I want it (SF games use the 6 buttons, all others use the lower 4 buttons). I did this manually a couple times, but every time I added/changed a USB device on my cab, the controls got screwed up. The last time I fixed things, CFG Magician completed the task in ~3 minutes where it took me HOURS previously.
All other emus will have to be addressed through other channels.
