Does anyone have any wisdom on increasing the volume of some of the roms in Mame? NBA Hang Time's volume is sooooo low that I have to crank my speakers just so I can hear anything, then naturally most of the other roms are way louder so I nearly blow my speakers when I play another game. I've check the rom properties and the volumes are all maxed out, is there anything else I can do to fix this?

Some of the games have volume adjustments
built into them.
Try pressing F2 while
the game is on to
see if there's a sound option there.
Oh, yeah.
Just tried it.
There's a volume control there.
Press F2 in game.

No problem friend.
This was an easy one,
and that's about all
I'm good for.

I have another question involving volume. So f2 brings up an admin menu for most roms, but Ive noticed that capcom games are difficult to adjust. Does anyone know how to increase the volume of capcom games? f2 works but I can't see a way to raise the volume.

By default the volume in some midway games is set very low. The Mortal Kombat games are almost all the way down, and I usually turn the volume all the way up.
Capcom CPS and CPS2 games don't have a volume control. If you have a monaural sound on your setup you can change the audio output to that and it will sound better.
In some versions of mame pressing the ` key will bring up a menu. Press up and down to cycle through the menu and there will be a volume control.
Mame also supports assigning keys to volume control.
