Title: MAME 133 and MameWAH 1.61 problem?
Post by: Mr. Dude on November 27, 2009, 04:45:36 pm
I recently updated to MAME .133 and am now having a problem with MameWAH 1.61 showing the incorrect game names.  It's now showing the Rom name instead of the game name (ie MVC instead of Marvel vs Capcom).  I've been fooling around with the different list generation methods for hours now and have had no luck.  I've also downloaded the latest catver.ini for MAME .133, created new xml and dat files and am now throwing in the towel. Anyone have any advise for a way to fix this?

I created a new XML and DAT through cmd prompt typing MAME -listxml>mame.xml and mame -listxml>mame.dat.  Did I do this right?  Any help would be appreciated.   :dunno

I have the same setup and mine seems to be working fine. Ill look at it when I get home and see if I can recreate it and help you out.

Try renaming the xml dat files and running mamwah without them and see what happens. I am thinking that the problem is in your files.

Also copy a few lines of each file and put it up so I can take a look at it. I bet the files are wrong inwhich case its an easy fix.

Thanks speedkiz,
Last night after trying everything I ended up just downloading MameWAH 1.65 and setting it up.  It was time consuming but at least everything works great now with the new version.
