I have a working 25" K5500 std. Res., the tube is scratched and chipped from the previous owner. I was curious if it would be possible to swap the tube and yoke for one from the 25k7193, also std res. I have never done a tube swap before, I have plenty of soldering experience and have done some work with monitors before, just nothing this extensive. So:
1). Is this even a possible swap
2). How complicated is it.
3). Should I just get another monitor
Thanks for the info.

Tube swapping is well discussed here and at KLOV forums.
If you want to put the 25K7193 tube onto the k5500, you must swap the 5500's yoke onto the 7193 as the yoke's are completely different internally.
Naturally this will mean going through the entire convergence setup.
