I've finally stopped kidding myself and admit that the UAII 4-player monster I have sitting in my gameroom is entirely too big for the space. I was debating starting over and going with a slim LCD cabinet like the Woody but would like to reuse my 27" Billaps arcade monitor since it probably only has 10 hours on it (plus I don't look forward to trying to sell the UAII cabinet and the monitor).
I found some posts talking about the "slimmer" depth of the Dynamo Street Fighter cabinet (as opposed to other 27" I guess)...is that the slimmest I'll find? Or does anyone have a "slim" design for a 27" CRT monitor cab they may have created?

I like that design as well...I saw that one when I was looking at LCD designs.
I was searching for slim cabinets for a 27" CRT monitor....should have made that clearer in my original post.

You could always have a metal shop fabricate one for you. Like a server rack uses angle iron - you could design something like this:

In fact if you or you know of someone who can weld - this would be easy to make. Get the steel powder coated - that would be friggin stellar IMHO.

You are talking about gutting a cab that has 10 hours of use on it? WOW! :hissy:

That might have made sense if they didn't already own a monitor. And the chances of finding this particular cabinet alone will be tough let alone finding one of these without a monitor.

First of all try adding something useful to this thread for a change.
Secondly - ohh I'm sure a person will run right out and spend $975.00. And is this in driving distance for this person or will they have to pay $325+ for shipping. on top of the $975? Yes your idea is just brilliant now isn't it?
I never said it was impossible to find one. I said it would be difficult.

$975 seems like a bargain, How much is your idea of a shop fabricating iron and then powdercoating itAnd when its all done, Im sure it wont look as good as a crazy taxi cab thats my point. If were worried about money we should just the 5-1 Namco games with pacman and plug it into our TV via RCA Jack thats sounds like a budget plan :laugh2:
