Hello arcade gurus...
I apoligise for my lack of correct terminology,
Basically I have a A63ABG25X monitor, and I want to be able to plug the standard red, yellow and white audio/video inputs into it? I've seen a few electronics cards on the internet, but due to my lack of experience not to sure which would suit? I'm an electrician but not the 'brightest spark' when it comes to electronics...
hopefully someone can help?
thanks for your time

That number denotes a tube, not a monitor.
-
ok...
sorry about my lack of knowledge... is the tube part of my monitor, or is it one or the other?
-
ok, my A63ABG25X is a tube... can anyone recommend what I need to run audio/video inputs through my tube?
-
Short answer: you can't.
Longer answer: the tube is just where your video is outputted. You're going to need at the very least a TV (since you're talking about the three RCA connectors I assume this what you need)
How about a picture of the BACK of the tube?

ok can get pic tomorrow...
fyi, my machine is a fully functional 1945 Strikers, with a vertical tube... there is an electronics card at the rear of the tube...I want to get something like this:
it is ebay item number 310179398520 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310179398520), if anyone can be bothered reading its description, i have attached picture, hopefully it works...

It's always a good idea to include ALL your information when you post. The fact that you have a complete, working monitor is a good example of this. That board you picture looks like it would be a good way to get composite video out to your monitor.
-
thanks for your help...
any reasons why this board might not work on my machine and tube?
-
Ummm if the monitor's working, why not just wire in the DB15 outs to the monitor?
Pin-Out (http://pinouts.ru/Video/VGA15_pinout.shtml)
Follow this pinout for your RGB, and once we know the chasis (the big circuit board attached to the tube) for your monitor, you can start finding out the sync options (Horizontal/Vertical or composite).
-
Now that I look closer at the board, I note that there are several inputs (including RGB, COMPONENT) but it only outputs to VGA. Your monitor likely only accepts RGB. You can convert VGA to RGB, but you'll need more stuff.
How about you DETAIL exactly what you're trying to accomplish here. What's your video source? What kind of monitor do you have in your cab? If you don't know, check the stickies @ the top of the forum.
-
ok, not sure where to find these 'stickies'?
will take photo of 'chasis' at rear of tube tonight and post tomorrow, and I guess any sort of id I can find on the circuit boards.
once again, I am new to this, so also not sure about my video source...
I want to be able to run composite (not sure if correct term? -i want to be able to plug the red, yellow and white plugs in for video and 2 audio) video through my monitor/tube assembly, so I can run my xbox and play on arcade monitor/tube assembly.

Something you should learn about internet forums. There's the main forum, and it's split up in to sub forums (ie: Monitor/Video Sub-forum). At the top of the list of topics in the Sub Forum you'll see "Pinned" or "Stickied" topics. Read these first. Always. All the time. NOW.
It's the most important step to being cool on the internet.
This dude reads Pinned topics and stickies.
