Title: D9200 HELP!
Post by: RichSorr on November 12, 2009, 06:38:56 pm
OK, so my flyback was clicking repeatedly and had a squeeking sound. I found that Q414 was blown and Q413 was dead. Replaced both along with D424. I also noticed some swollen caps, so I went ahead and got the WG cap upgrade kit for this monitor. put everything back together. nothing. I hear the monitor turn on and thats it. No screen flicker or anything. I can't tell if the tube is really glowing or not, but I can see a blue light. I need to get this thing fixed ASAP or I am going to have to bite the bullet and send it in for repair. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Rich

A blue light? Uh oh that doesn't sound good. Sounds like the tube's been compromised.

Yeah, like a blue light from the neck area ?
That would indicate the neck may be cracked / loss of vaccum.

funny. thats EXACTLY what the tech over at WG said. haha.

Theres no crack in the neck. I guess it just died and when it did it took out the horizontal output circuit. Now my real problem is finding a 33" replacement....
