Hello
Does anyone have any information about a Hitachi A51MAE88X13(C) ?
I've found a webshop selling them for a decent price and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with one?
From what I understand, they're imported from Japan, which is also seen when googling "A51MAE88X13", since most hits are in japanese (and therefor male no sense at all to me).
Do Japanese arcade monitors follow the same standards as other monitors (to the extent monitors follow standards).
I'm sorry if I'm not that great at monitors, I have a JAMMA cab but the monitor has a bad burn-in and is generally wobbly and flickering. Would it be possible to plug this into my JAMMA cab without any real trouble (I plan on installning a MAME computer in the future, but I plan on keeping it all running through the JAMMA "motherboard")?
Here's a pic of the monitor in all it's glory.

A51MAE88X13 is a tube number. A 20" tube number, to be precise.

Right... so you're saying that's the number of the tube component only, and not a model number of a monitor as a package? Or maybe I'm all confused.
I'm sorry but I don't know that much about monitors, I only know a lot about my cab and nothing about what different components there are out there... and I've been to afraid to ever touch the monitor.
This thing also comes with a "chassicard" (sorry if that's lost in translation, I'm swedish), I suppose that's all you need to make it a functioning monitor, no?
Is there anywhere I can find out more about this tube? I mean how did you know it was a tube?
Thanks.

That's correct. That number is a tube only.

How did I know? I've been doing this for a while, so for me it was easy to identify that number as a tube number.
The first three digits - "A51" denotes the size - 51 centimeters, or ~20 inches.
I'm guessing the "chassiscard" or "chassis" is the circuit board used to drive the monitor. I can not tell which one from that picture, all monitors look pretty much the same from the front.
