Curated by Giant Robot co-founder and co-editor Eric Nakamura, this expanded follow-up to the 2007 exhibition Giant Robot Biennale: 50 Issues will highlight artists associated with the magazine over the past 15 years.

From movie stars, musicians, and skate-boarders to toys, technology, and history, Giant Robot magazine covers cool aspects of Asian and Asian-American pop culture. Paving the way for less knowledgeable media outlets, Giant Robot put the spotlight on Chow Yun Fat, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li years before they were in mainstream America's vocabulary.

Stop and see Artxgame's display featuring an EMDKAY 2-Player bartop arcade cabinet!

Artxgame is a joint project between Attract Mode and Giant Robot that brings together indie game designers and artists to make small games for display in galleries. Artxgame has done two art shows this year that have included these games (Game Over/Continue in San Francisco and Jottobots in Los Angeles).  They've collected all five of these games and are presenting them as part of Giant Robot's Biennale exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.  Right now, the museum is the only place to play them.  The exhibit runs through January 24, 2010.

See, I can't figure - especially given it's using an LCD - why the builder of that bartop didn't angle the monitor (and perhaps bring it forward a bit). Only runts would be lookin at it from so low.

Good point.  It almost looks like the LCD is pointing slightly down.   :dizzy:

It's a bartop/tabletop cabinet, so the player would typically be looking straight ahead.
