I'm wondering if I can swap out one monitor frame to another? Here's my situation:
I had a 25" arcade monitor running that went bad (PIC 1). I picked up another 25" monitor (PIC 3) but the bottom frame bracket is 1.5" wider (from top to bottom) than my old monitor so it doesn't fit in my cab :badmood:
I'm wondering since it's the same size monitor if I can unscrew the top/bottom metal support frame and swap the two monitor's out so the new one will fit. Has anyone done this before?

Usually quite possible since the "ears" that mount the tube are in the same place for a given size tube, but the chassis board may not easily mount to the new frame.

The chassis are different but I think it's do-able. I just want to make sure it's something that can be done or if I'm taking on an impossible task.
Also if I did swap out the frame, I would need to rotate the chassis on the monitor because the controls are in the front as you can see in the 4th PIC posted above. This way I can shorten the frame up and still have access to the video controls. Make sense?
