Title: Yet another Hantarex Polo issue - double image
Post by: sevenleaf on November 08, 2009, 07:51:28 am
As I haven't been able to fix my other Polos and I saw this one for sale cheaply, I bought it.

The image is doubled up, though. I've tried the remote adjustment board and none of the pots fix the problem. The pics below show the board as good as it will go:

sega rally is 24khz med res game, your polo is 15khz only unless it is a dual frequency model with a jumper plug

Ah great. Where abouts would the jumper plug be if there is one?

Also, can I easily convert from 15kHz to 25kHz? Can I just swap the flyback from another board?

if it is a dual sync chassis then the jumper is near the yoke connector,it looks to be a standard polo though
i am not sure if there is a ega to cga converter on the market atm

I've rarely seen some cards on ebay that can supposedly convert res for you, but I have no idea how well something like that would work as I've never actually tried one...they were from china i believe...anyway something you could check into i suppose.

it would probably work out cheaper to buy a hantarex polo 2 auto monitor complete-in fact there is one option you have that may sort things
jenn shin have a chassis 729 which is a switchable 15/24khz and it fits straight on the polo 1 crt with some wiring mods-they are around 100$ plus shipping
they are very good quality
