My wife gave me the ok to get a arcade cabinet in the living room in the new house. The restriction (of course there where going to be restrictions) are that it has to be a cocktail cabinet and has to look like a piece of furniture.
I checked out arcadedepot.com but not sure if it is exactly what I am looking for.
I searched youtube.com and found this
Arcade machine cocktail cabinet mame oak w/ trackball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22PWEUkVGEU#)
The control panel is screwy but so cool it has that feature with the screen tilting forward and the keyboard coming out from under the control panel. Something like that would be nice but I guess I will have to go custom. I will have to converse with my buddy and see if he wants to give me a hand building it.
any other suggests are always welcome
Thanks in advance

Here's a different take on your dilemma. This guy built a cabinet into a kitchen island.

Could always go with a surface tension table, or build a similar design yourself...

You could even start with a piece of furniture..... plenty of those ideas around.
The key is to use your imagination. (and still please the wife)

Did she say it needed to be like any particular piece of furniture? Does it have to duel purpose as anything else?
I have a similar design constraint... (see here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=96762.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=96762.0))
Do you want to hide the controls when not in use?
I'll be interested to see what you decide on.

Why are you adamant about it being in the living room?
kitchen island unit: .... .....while it's cool an all (although where that trackball is, for example, you can't play games like Crystal Castles in horizontal mode), I don't really get having something in the middle of the kitchen. I'd want that deal for its intended use - dish preparation, etc. Then, going by the last picture he posted, if it ain't going in the kitchen, why build it that way?
