I'm looking to buy a good (cheap as possible) video card with S-video out for my cabinet? What is a good one? Seen a bunch on Ebay, just not sure what will work?
This is what i've been looking at....
ATI Radeon X600 PCI-E FH 128MB DVI S-VIDEO Video Card
Is it even close to what i need?
Any help would be appreciated. Plan on connecting to a 25" Television with at least a composite video. may have to adapt S-video to RCA??
I am a SUPER NOVICE at this so feel free to explain with as much detail as possible...lol

composite looks like crap, Svid is marginally better.

Agreed. Composite is terrible. You want S-video minimum.

Look for an old (you can still get them new a few places) GeForce 7600GS. It has S-Video and always worked very well on my gaming rig before upgrading last year. EVGA is my personal fav brand.

Just checking. Your subject just asked for a good PCI video card. Do you have a newer motherboard or an old one. PCI and PCI E are not the same. The cards you are looking at are PCI E (newer).

prolly needing an older one. the computer is a few years old. It's a Compaq Presario 5000. Gonna be a dedicated MAME machine.
So with a video card that has S-Video, i can just plug it right into a standard television and it'll work just like a computer monitor??
What is a good size monitor (T.V.) to have in a cabinet? I built the Lucid style cabinet if that helps?

The resolution will make it hard to read much, but it's great for games.
