Title: cocktail table
Post by: bigal6450 on November 03, 2009, 10:21:42 am
Just bought a multicade cocktail table that needs some work.  I need a new cabinet and new joysticks, some control overlays, vents, coin door.  Help, I have no idea where to start.

I didn't even read the list of needs. Yeah, I hope he didn't pay much. Sounds like he got ripped off.

First, welcome to this board.

Second, let me get this straight. You bought a multicade cocktail cabinet that was in bad condition and the only thing you deem salvageable is the PCB (the game board), the power supply, and perhaps the glass top?

I really don't know what to say.
Post some pictures, or give us some proper details. I don't think anyone can help you by that description alone.
What are the details of the cabinet damage? Why do you need new joysticks, vents, coin door, did it not come with any? Or are they damaged beyond repair?
Tell us exactly what the monitor is doing when you turn it on, how it looks and such.
Then we can go from there.

Help us, help you. :)

Also, your voting poll makes no sense.

There's a duplicate thread in Main.

I think his monitor is fine. Just sounds like typical gauss issues common in cocktails.

First of all I apologize for previous post.  Let me clarify what I have.  I hope I did not get screwed too much but here is what I have:  I bought a cockatil style multicade 48 and one game and I paid $600.  It has a new monitor, new pcb board, new power supply and it works fine.  I need a new joystick( there is a new one that works fine but it seems too big) and I need the overlays for the control panel.  I need to repair the bottom of the cabinet were the wood is dammaged from dragging it across the floor.  I installed an on off switch and a volume control.

On another note, I would like to build another multicade type game from the ground up.  To be perfectly honest I really don't know what a pcb board is!!!!  I am a fireman and a high voltage electrician on the side but this stuff is way too cool to pass up toying with as a hobby!!
