Considering connecting my WG 25K7197 to a PC with regular VGA card and I've read that the WG monitors may take both 1V and 5V... Does the 25K7197 fall into that category? If so, where on the board is the pot or switch for 1V? much appreciated...

There's no switch. You hook it up, and either it works, or it doesn't. If it doesn't, get a video amp.

1 volt is usually too low for that monitor. You're likely to need a video amplifier.

Ot take the cheap route and turn up the contrast...This works good on the two 7100`s I have.

Finally had some time to hook up the monitor with my pc... seems to be working fine with my standard onboard video card... no contrast or color issues that i can see...what's the maximum resolution I can use with the 25K7197 without causing problems?... I'm planning on using a windows front-end and will probably need a minimum resolution of 640x480... can this monitor handle that for extended periods of time?... thanks...

PC cards are 0.7V into 75 ohms. They're almost always back-terminated, so you'll get double that - 1.4V - into the high-impedance arcade monitor input. Still a far cry from the 3.3-5V expected by most arcade monitors, but often close enough that tweaking contrast results in something usable.
Assuming this is a standard res monitor, you can run 640x480@60Hz if it's interlaced. 800x600@48Hz interlaced also works, but it'll be very flickery. Highest progressive mode you can run is about 320x244 @ 60Hz.
