Title: Hmmm... can't figure out where to put video for DK.

Ok, I went to the skin I was using and enabled UseVideos. However, I can't find the documentation on what directory I should be putting them in. Also, is there some predefined directory that I should put title snaps vs screen snaps in? I've looked pretty carefully through the 6 files linked from 'documentation' on the Lazarus site, but none of them seem to be what I want.

More generally, is there like a standard convention that I'm just unaware of? That seems to be the case. If it is, someone mind pointing me to a good reference site for it?

Videos are currently disabled (ie not working) in DK. Howard is reworking it to play mpegs. Goodbye RealPlayer! ;D

the mpegs will need to be in vids dir. Titles should be in titles\ and screens in snap\

Ok, I had guessed it out correctly then.  Howard, is there any chance of ANY format other than monstrous MPEG? I mean sure, realplayer is junk, but almost anything else than MPEG would offer a nicer economy of disk space.

it has to be a direct show compliant format
ie direct show, aiv or a form of mpeg

Oh, so I didn't need to convert all these avis to mpeg? Also, any hint as to when the next release is coming down the pipe? Working on some skins... AltElements and Videos would be nice :)

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, but video elements work right now.  make a vids folder in your primary artworkdir and make a skin with videos enabled.  :)

Heh, I didn't even try renaming the dir I had them in after reading the guy's post saying that all video was disabled :) I had moved on to converting some MAMEWAH skins to DK skins.
