I have the LEDBlinky pretty much installed. It lights my buttons, speaks them, all is pretty good.
What I am having a problem with is lighting the trackballs. They do light becuase when I go into generate mame profile I can get the RGB lights to light on both trackballs. But what I want to do is light these 2 trackballs all the time when I am in Mala because I use the trackballs to scroll through the game list. So far I have not been able to do this.
Also when a game loads that is a trackball game is there a way to have them both stay lit? Like when I play missle command I would want them both lit up.
Thx

Using the GenInputMap app - assign "TRACKBALL" as a keycode to the ports for both your trackballs. That should get them lit for games and the FE.

Ok I am at work so I dont know the exact names but I did do the gen input mame profile button. Is that what your talking about?
Also when you assign the trackballs there is no trackball button input selection. I assigned them to player 4 button 1 - 6. This is the column on the left. Then on the far right it lets you pick trackball.
I dont know if that made sense but I dont have the program open in front of me.

I think you may be using an older version of LEDBlinky (if you downloaded from the MaLa site then it's not the latest version). Download the upgrade link from this thread and unzip it into the MaLa plugins folder:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=73905.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=73905.0)
Then run the LEDBlinkyConfig.exe app. This will upgarde all your files. With the latest version there's no longer any profile app - instead you can use the Controls Editor to make custom changes. But to get both trackballs to light all you need to do is run GenLEDBlinkyInputMap.exe app (also available from config Tools menu) and follow my instructions from the prior post.

Ok, yes I downloaded it from the Mala site. I will update it when I get home.
Thank You!!

Hey arzoo, I did what you said to the T. Upgraded etc. The trackballs now light up when I am in Mala. But I am wondering if I did something right?
I assigned the RGB of both trackballs to Player 4 buttons 1 through 6. Red Green and Blue on each trackball. Under port label there is not a trackball listed so I just picked ports I would never use, since I have a 2 player cab. Did I do this right?
Thx

Another quesion. i setup track and field to the proper buttons that i want (did this in tab while running the game) but when I restart the game the wrong buttons light up. And obviously the speech is off. Any easy way to fix this?
Thx

You're not the first user to be confused by the port labels - you can actually type anything you want in that field. So you could use "TB1" for the R, G, and B ports for the 1st trackball and "TB2" for the second trackball. Just remember that the same label must be used for each set of RGB ports.

If your setup is correct then the buttons should light correctly. Make sure you have the "MAME Config Folder" (on the MAME tab) pointing to the mame "\cfg" folder. If you do and it's still not working then turn on the Debug Log and Verbose options (on the Misc tab), then run HS and launch track and field. Afterward email me the debug.zip file in the LEDBlinky folder and I'll take a look.

Oh WOW. I didnt know you could label the ports yourself hahah.
After I posted the last question: about track and field not working, I read the original LEDBlinky post and found the answer in there. My mame cfg directory was wrong. I fixed it and now it works! :applaud: :applaud:
So it appears all is good in happy MAME land. The guy I am building this cab for sure is gunna like it. I am thinking of just keeping it. shhh
Thx arzoo. LEBBlinky ROCKS
