Post by: speedklz on October 27, 2009, 07:14:55 pm
I have two WG 25k7131`s but they seem to have different monitors can I still switch the boards out with each other? Cause I have one with a bad board and one with bad burnin.

but they seem to have different monitors

Different TUBES you mean ?
(probably just manufacturer, like RCA or Zenith)

If the chassis is identical, meaning the circuit boards, then yes.

Yea that discharge crap scares the hell out of me ever time. Should I set the thing on wood or is it alright leaving it on the carpet when I discharge it. I just ground it to the frame, but I have never done this after I have removed the thing.

and I am alright just using the screwdriver with the clip method.. Sorry but I usually wait weeks to do this and I dont have that kind of time now so I am leary of the Juice flowing through this thing.. :dizzy:

Yup, just clip one end to the screwdriver and the other end to a ground.

The best piece of advice I can give...relax!  Even though when you discharge there's a big *snap* there isn't much to it.  When it's running, however, that's another story.

As for the chassis, as long as both K7131 have the same neckboard you should be able to swap them just fine.
