Sege Aero City Jap Style
These are a replica of an OEM holder that I recieved to copy but mine are much better quality. The holder consists of a chamfered 8mm front piece and a 2mm rear sheet. Both sheets are hand polished to a high gloss finish.
The Q25 is a two piece holder, 5mm front and 3mm back. It has a 2mm chamfer around the holder and the edges are painstakingly polished to a high gloss shine.
They are a bit of a pig to polish, even more so than the Aero Citys.
As normal they come with all the mounting bolts etc. Price is £50.
The only difference between the two is the profile at the edge. The original has a 1mm chamfer running round the edge. I applied a 1mm chamfer to this one but it was near impossible to polish evenly. Instead I am going to use a 3.2mm radius as shown and then polish as shown below.
They are routed to size, polished and drilled were appropriate.
Price is £8 + post

The original looks frosted because the original protective film is still on it.
To be honest the quality of the original is pretty disgusting. The profile has been routed out and then flame polished. Because of this you are left with a glossy but rough finish:
As you can see the quality is pretty awful. I was going to semi hand polish mine and then flame polish them. I tried this method and you do get a good finish but IMO its not perfect so I have decided I am going to hand polish mine fully to a high gloss shine. It adds about an hour to each one but I think the results are worth it.
Once again the quality of the original was pretty bad. My new ones are much nicer.
I was concerned about the radii in the corners and it looks like I was right to be worried. I spoke to an Aero owner and he kindly took some photos of his original holder mounted in his Aero. As you can see the holder sits flush to the cabinet and the radii that I had on the 1st Euro holder would foul and not fit properly.
I decided the nest thing to do would be to recess the corners slightly so that they will sit flush whilst the rest of the sides will keep it central for mounting:
As always all holders will ship with the correct mounting hardware. I'm just confirming whats required at the moment.
I am getting a load of current orders done over the weekend and I'm planning on getting the hardware ordered ASAP to hopefully get everything shipped next Friday (18th) on my day off.
If anyone wants one shipping next Friday can you let me know ASAP so I have as much time to get them done as possible.
Thanks :)

What are the dimensions on that thing? Now I have to start thinking about some art to go in there. Probably an Xmen Vs. Streetfighter marquee, seeing as how that's the only CPS2 game I have at the moment. ;D

These holders are easily the most complex ones I have done so far. I don't know what SNK was thinking when they made them but they are completely over engineered. They consist of a front sheet, a back sheet and two other parts which make up the clasp:
The clasp pieces are bonded together and then the two pieces are bonded to the front sheet.
The only minor niggle with my repro is that there are some bubbles between the clasp and the front sheet due to the chemical I use to bond them together. There isn't really much I can do about them but you can't really see them. That section faces the back of the cabinet anyway so you wouldnt see them unless you crept round the back of the cab and stared at it  I presume the original pieces were UV bonded.
They have been a lot of hard work but I'm really happy with how they are coming out. I am making a few for the guys in the US but I should have a couple spare if anyone wants one.
The price is £60

Final 2011 :bump
With the cold weather coming I'll most likely not be doing as much plastics work over the coming months.
I'm planning on doing one last materials run this week so if you are after anything for the rest of the year or so then let me know in case I need to pick up materials that I don't have stocked.
Thanks :)

Hi there, do you make these for Namco Exceleena blue? I see you mentioned the Exceleena 2, but couldnt see the blue mentioned, if so how much?

I have not seen a marquee holder for an Exceleena Blue but I recently shipped a Exceleena 2 holder to a customer with an Blue and he said it fit just fine.
The mounting bolt spacing on the Blue is the same as the 2 which leads me to believe Namco used the same marquee holder for both machines.
If you would like to order one feel free to PM me on here or send me an email at francoscustoms(at)gmail.com , thanks :)

Hi Darren, apologies for the late reply, I've only just seen your post.
I'm afraid I've stopped working on plastics for the time being whilst I concentrate on wiring work. I'll most likely be doing plastics again in the spring next year.
Sorry I can't help out right now.
