Title: I need leaf switches...
Post by: garnerb350 on October 17, 2009, 09:28:04 pm
Hey guys...are there any vendors online that sell just the leaf switches for the joysticks...(WICO)? I ruined 2 of them...I wish i could find some that have the contacts on the sides instead of having them on the back...( tight space under the control panel of the cab i'm restoring)...

Bob roberts has the china made replacements ( they don't fit right just a tad sloppy and loose) , nobody makes wico leafs anymore that I know of.

Why not just fix the ones you currently have
If the tab is busted off just solder the wire in front of the black mounting plastic

I'm hoping that David makes Wico leaf replacements.   And 4" Wico shafts too.

Hey gator...I tried ( even wrote and earlier thread on it)...but i couldnt get the solder to hold...

( the contacts broke when i tried to bend them...i dremeled what i could to get more coverage...but like said before, i couldnt get the solder to stick...the contacts need to be rough i guess to get contact...) but i cant do it with what i have...

The old joystick had leafswitches where the contacts were on the sides and the contacts are very manageable...but the points on the other side are shots...I just wish i knew were I can find some like that...

Does anyone have some they can spare? (if i cant find any online?)

Dremel in a rough spot to solder to...

Set up a search reminder on Ebay... sometimes NOS leaf switches pop up.
