MAMEwah now supports the use of external screensaver files as an option (.SCR). I tried using emusaver, but it didn't work on my system. I also tried downloading a mamescreensaver from mameworld.net a couple of weeks ago--which was supposed to launch a game for a period of time, then switch to a new game. I was also unsuccessful getting that to work. I really like this idea of playing the demo of a game and then switching randoming to another game as a screensaver. Any thoughts?? Anyone else try the mamescreensaver posted at mameworld a couple of weeks ago?? What other cool screensavers are out there??

Well I made one ages ago. Guess what it actually works! go to the lazarus homepage to download it.

Howard,
If you mean emusaver 2.1, I have tried that and can't get it to work. I have asked before on this forum and have tried the suggestions you made, but still no luck. I followed the readme file that came with the download and I got through the first 3 steps. The emusaver works in commandline as step 1 suggested. I have the command-.exe file and the lconfig.ini file in my MAME folder which contains the mame.exe file. I saved the emusaver.exe and emusaver.ini file into my windows folder. The emusaver does show up as a screensaver in my windows property menu under screensavers. I selected emusaver and then go to settings. I type in c:\mame\ as the execute file and c:\mame\roms as the rom path. I then click preview and I get the "loading game, please wait" screen, but nothing loads. I even tried the rom path to be a specific rom that is small, but same results. I am using Win 98SE. I would really, really like to solve this as emusaver is my first choice for a screensaver. But just cant figure out what could be wrong. If you have any further suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it as I would love to have emusaver working on my MAMEwah setup right now. Is there anything else I can do or try.
Thanks in advance.

I'll check mine out tonight. But I'm going to guess that since the first setting was 'execute file' the value should've been c:\mame\mame.exe rather than c:\mame.
Then again, I could be totally wrong as I haven't looked at that since I set it up.
