Title: Jamma edge connector question
Post by: GaryMcT on October 10, 2009, 03:16:53 am
I need to make a custom Jamma connector for my JROK Williams multigame.

Have any recommendations for an easy to work with Jamma connector?  What kind of tool would you use with one of these?

Thanks!
Gary

In their tool section you will find a crimper and a pin removal tool.  You probably have a crimper that you can use but the pin removal tool makes it really easy if you get the wire in the wrong spot.    I usually just work with a prewired connector as the pins are all in place and wires of the right gauge are usually in place.   Some wire sets are also labeled so hookup is really easy.

[Japandeal (http://www.grebo.eu/arcadegames/shop/index_eur.htm)] have two 56 pin Jamma edge connectors for two euros (euro a piece).

Click on Products>Cables & connectors and then scroll down.

They have the pins ready installed and you just solder on to the terminals on the back.

There is a 20 euro minimum order but its worldwide free shipping.

Hi
I need molex ver. solder is everywhere.
(http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/2808/jammacustom.th.jpg) (http://img443.imageshack.us/i/jammacustom.jpg/)
I made one alone but molex is better you can easily change pin over signal (on Neogeo/MK leyout buttons) and other things if you wont
molex is better to change and easy to make 10min work , solder is 2h (1h real work and 1 on correction:P)
I have one original complete jamma harness on molex for cabients, but I does not want to destroy this (for supergun extension lead) and I still not have pins and 44 edege

I need molex but this price is terrible:///

Here is what I did:

I used jammaboards.com and found they had a very quick turnaround, and were very reasonably priced. There are several types of fingerboards there, but I liked the PTH soldering (plated through hole).

Sorry kowal, my post was aimed at the OP.

I will ask around for the molex parts you are after though.
