Maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked, pal!
I cant stop laughing.....bill paxton....pin....ball.... :laugh2: awesome....

That's only one character, though.....

His character in Aliens was pure win :w00t

dude the most important thing that nobody's mentioned:
this is Ben Heck's "Bill Paxton Pinball" (http://"http://benheck.com/10-09-2009/hold-flipper-for-status-update-2#more-716"). So you know it's gonna freakin' rock. I've been following it loosely on his blog, and I've never actually seen anyone attempt a homemade pinball machine (non-digital, non-replica).
then again I'm not that big in the pinball scene so maybe it's common...
-
That makes me wanna stand up and beg for buttermilk.

Ben has finally finished his pinball project: Bill Paxton Pinball (http://benheck.com/03-16-2010/bill-paxton-pinball)
He's got a fully documented Making of section, and a wack load of game-play videos including all the different game modes. Amazing work.

ben heck is just awesome. he makes his own 64x8 led array for petes sake!
edit:who in there right mind would do this?

That's 512 LED's that all need soldering and a connector. If you value your time in any way, this is NOT WORTH IT! It is very cool to say you've made your own LED display, but WOW!? :dizzy:

The finished product looks great. He also built a Neo Geo MVS Cab that splits into two pieces if I remember correctly.

I was blown away when i saw the finished product...just blown away... :dizzy:

Speaking of Neo Geo, he also created a Neo Geo console (http://benheck.com/neo-geo-mvs-console-systems) out of actual arcade hardware, with the ability to plug it into a standard television and use retail controllers. His reasoning behind it, arcade Neo Geo games and boards are cheaper than the actual retail Neo Geo Console released to the public. :o
-
To opt2not he did build a couple Neo-Geo MVS consoles, and a portable Neo-Geo MVS. And yes you can get the mainboard hardware and games far cheaper off of ebay and craigslist than the home AES version. The guy is very good in what he does.
This pinball machine is awesome and I really like the theme of it and I am not that into pinball.

With thanks to Ben Heck, I have the honors and his full support of re-creating his table for Visual Pinball and Future Pinball users. I just started building and re-learning the Visual Pinball editor. Thankfully I have all of the original artwork and even the table schematics to work with as well as Ben supplying all of the original sounds, DMD artwork and pretty much everything.
This is a very early WIP and my re-learning of VP.

Thats going to be sweet Dazz,

out of all the things in the world I ask why bill paxton lol.
I am also suprised there was nothing twister related in there like the circle that spin's on the playfield on some pinballs that change's the ball direction when it lets go.
it is a cool machine yes but I am clueless why all the dedication to bill still.

If you look closer there is one part that is twister related. On the right ramp there is Bill and Jo being chased by a tornado. There are also several sound bits from Twister as well. I was really hoping there would have been more, but oh well.

I'm guessing he didn't want too much Twister stuff seeing as there is already a Twister pinball machine. This is meant to be an ORIGINAL machine.
