Hello All!
This is something I have wanted to see created for sometime now. I have actually looked for a graphics artist to do this for me for the last 2 years. I found Steve Paradis on the Future Pinball Forum and got to see some of his work. Steve agreed to take on the project and man this came out amazing. Goto my site and you can download it for free. If you need any graphic artist work done Steve is the guy!

You have to put this file in your Windows/Win32 folder
ENJOY!

This is awesome! :applaud:
One small issue. If you run a machine with multiple monitors, the screensaver does not show up on both monitors, leaving one desktop showing.
-
Checked and it just pretty much goes to the primary monitor and depends on how you have the 2nd monitor setup.
I am getting ready to post an update because the first version you had to click to get out of it and the update is any button etc.

Your Welcome BobA.
My plan was to use a frontend with time and sound detection so that the records would actually change with the music. Granted there is some time involved in doing this. If there is any programmers out there that would be interested in writing such a frontend I can pair them up with Steve and check with him on expanding the loops to do this. I also have the code for the sound detection.
To the people that find it usefull please send Steve an Email with comments also. His email link is on the page with the download. I would like to contract him to do some others but i'm not sure yet what the cost is going to be, so there could possibly be more in the future.
I would like to do something with him along the lines of one that uses a cd, a couple different record style etc. Just have to see. If people are interested in some screen savers maybe we can pool together to have some made. I'm sure Steve could use the business.
Cheers!

I can set up DWJukebox to send your screensaver a Windows message when it's time to change records... :)
-
Thanks for the offer but I would prefer to make it open for any application by using a frontend to detect the audio and time.
-
There's nothing that says it has to be one way or the other.
In reality, I'd think it'd be easiest to make the screensaver react to a windows message, DDE, COM call etc, and simply play a new animation at command.
That way, when/If someone gets around to building an actual music detection/timing app (not trivial), it can hook into the screensaver using the exact same method.
That way, you have something that people can make use of right away, and something that can be expanded upon in the future.
Just my 2c

Ok! Maybe I was thinking inside the box. If I can get enough interest from some programmers I can goto Steve and see if he will expand upon what he already has. I just know in the beginning he prefered a front end. This may have been easier for him to setup the animation for it.
If someone is interested in working on this with Steve to do this let me know I can hook the two of you up.
Thanks,
kevin

Would it be too much to ask whether the screensaver could be turned to BLUE instead of RED? I would like to use this on my BLUE themed jukebox.

Deleted or banned then back again, wash rinse repeat... Is that guy Donkey Kong or Boz with a different alias. Damn I guess it could even be me... :o

10 years after the last post I think I can guess what the answer will be, but I'll ask anyway, does anyone have a copy of this that I can get?
I used to have it but the computer it was on has died and I can't find it anywhere.
Any help would be gratefully received
