So I tried using the site's search engine but it isn't working. We just got another DM machine and we're having some monitor issues. Every time we hit the machine the moniot shakes violently. Every drum hit, every bass pedal hit, everything. Any suggestions on this issue?

Almost has to be a bad solder joint. Pull the boards to inspect and reflow anything that looks remotely suspect. Could also be a loose cable, so be sure everything is seated well.

M\I wish i knew the name of it buuuuut..... there's a potentiometer on the side of my monitor chassis that was acting up.
The picture on my monitor would kind of "bounce" if the cabinet was jostled or bumped. Perhaps it's something similar to that? I would try to be more specific, but all i could tell you was it's on the side of my monitor chassis surrounded in a metal shield. Sorry i don't know the technical name for it.

What monitor are you talking here? Sounds like a bad filter cap to me????

If it original, it's almost guaranteed to be a monitor you've never heard of :) It'll probably either be a Ducksan or Toshiba.
I'm not sure how a bad input filter cap would cause problems like this due to physical shock. It really just sounds like something is loose.

Most likely a dry solder joint on the chassis
