Title: Mame Version - How to tell?

Is there a command to use or a way to find out what version of mame you are using if you don't know?

AFAIK, there is no app that does this for you.  It would need all the data on all the roms in all the romsets for all (or most) verisions of mame, which would be either a very large DB of all the -listxml for the different versions joined together, or one that condenses the same info to save space & search time.

For now, you can use clrmamepro & different versions of ame.  MAWS can help you see when different romsets changed.
