OK, I have decided I want to put Lexan over my Control panel...
1. What thickness Lexan is the Preferable size?
2. I had planned on using 3/4" MDF with a T-Molding edge. Once I lay the Lexan over it, the T-Molding will not cover the Edge of the Lexan. What do people do? Use a Thinner MDF? Use a Different Size T-Molding (If so what size)? Round over the edge of the Lexan and leave it exposed? I'm sure you get what i'm trying to figure out with this one...
3. I currently have 3/4" MDf for my mock up CP... For the Joysticks, I have Carrage bolts. If using Lexan, do you use counter set Screws under the Lexan, Or do you use carriage bols, that come through the lexan?
4. My carriage bolts have silver heads, do they make black headed 3/4" carriage bolts?

don't have all the answers... but will try...
you can try to get the thinnest lexan you can get...
1/8 or less....
if you're going to insert an artwork between the wood and lexan, then I would suggest countersink the joystick screwhead....

I went with 3/4" wood, and the t-molding to match. Then I used a router and a 1/8" round-over bit to make the 1/8 plexi flush with the edge of the wood and take away the sharp edges.

Another option...
3/4 MDF + 1/8 Plexi = 7/8 Inch Overall width, there are several sources for 7/8 Inch T-Molding.
Only other option would be Dr J's and simply smooth the edge of the plexi down.
