The option to skip disclaimer, skip validation and skip game info under misc mame config....it works with one cab and not the other.....
I'm use the same MAME executable too.... :burgerking:

you're probably using 2 different versions of mame? You have to recompile your own to skip that stuff now.

Is there an issue with some one sharing their re-compiled version of MAME that addresses these issues?

Just don't advertise it. That makes the MAME devs a little annoyed.
Ie, if you compile your own and make mods, don't provide a link to it for others.
really though, compiling your own version is extremely easy to do, and you'll get drunk on the power of being able to make MAME do what you want! ;)

I suspected as much. Thanks for the info. I tried to compile once to no avail. My problem is finding the mamem 0.128 diff files. I guess I'll have to tackle it again. The nag screens take you out of the arcade moment ;)

all the diff files are right here:

Thanks NOP. Just can't seem to find .128 diffs.

Did you look at the end of the first post? There is a table of previous versions back to 108 with diff files for each version. These diff files add high score support and remove the nag screens.
