I HAVE A CABLE OUTPUT OF XARCADE THE DB9 WAS BROKEN I WANT PUT A NEW ADAPTER I NEED THE COMBINATION OF COLORS FOR EACH PIN...
EXAMPLE
. . . . . - CYAN - YELLOW - RED - WHITE - BLACK
. . . . - GREY - ORANGE - BROWN - GREEN....
THAT IS CORRECT?
-
first of all...ALL CAPS SUCKS!!!
second...is it the connector on the circuit board that is broken, or just the cable? you should be able to acquire a replacement 9pin serial cable pretty cheap.
-
IS THE CABLE WAS GO TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD THE CONECTOR OF THE OUTSIDE OF XARCADE ITS BROKEN ... THE DB9 ITS BROKEN THE CABLE IS OK JUST IS THE CONECTOR ...
-
wow. um..i'm not sure i fully understand that statement...i'm guessing english isn't your first language.
so the connector on the PCB is broken? have you tried contacting X-Gaming? it is my understanding that x-arcade units have a lifetime warranty, so i would start with them.

and Please stop typing in ALL CAPS..it is very annoying to read through...it is generally considered as yelling.

thnx for the help =
-
Xgaming will replace that cable for $5 + Shipping.
-
If it is the connector on the cable maybe this info will help. It does not give colors but using a VOM the wires can be traced.
This info came from a thread about making a serial cable for x arcade on this forum.
-
this is my dude!!!(http://)
the first image shows the db9 broken just want know how put the colors of the cables in the db9 nothing more!!
-
wow, your x-arcade is completely different than mine. what is that cable in the second picture? i dont have one of those.
my x-arcade has a db9 port mounted directly on the circuit board, and then just uses a standard 9pin serial cable.

I've had mine for years since they first came out and I was thinking the same thing..... opened it up and sure enough, pcb mounted DB9 and it just uses a basic serial cable from there.
And I still don't quite understand what info he needs. The wires look all there, can't tell what's really "broken". If it's just a DB9 housing of some sorts that's broken, swap it one wire at a time to the new one.
Is that the same cable in pictures #1 and #2 ?
Does that cable then plug into the little pcb inside the X-Arcade ?
-
yes is the same cable - the first picture goes to outside of the xarcade and the second image goes internal conected to the 2 sockets whites.
the serial cable is conected to the db9 picture 1 ...
-
So why not take your NEW DB9 and set it side by side with the old one and transfer one wire over at a time ?
That first pic isn't clear enough to see what is "broken", but all the wires seem to be where they should be.

i mean first pin . = orange? blue . . . .
lol....thnx whatever.
-
OK, now this is just down right frustrating......but am starting to understand what is BROKEN, sort of. (circled in green)
What I DON'T understand is what information is needed......
USE THE OLD WIRES FROM YOUR CONNECTOR AS YOUR EXAMPLE
-
are you sure?
the light of the xarcade itīs in off and not recognize my xarcade on the pc?
maybe the circuit board is bad..??? for me its only problem of the conector
nothing more.
-
As stated previously...this same cable was broken on mine...call Craig...$5.99
-
lol nice solution buy a new cable....if that is the way i dont know but what reason i publish this note...
-
I think he is saying he put that new Db9 end on and it's not working so he wants someone to verify what pins on the Molex type connector go to which pins in the Db9 connector via a continuity check since the original Db9 was encased and colors are impossible to determine.
-
lol in the oficial support of xarcade the atention for the client is a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---!!!
keep without solutions ...
-
You make fun of my suggestion for buying one...but you have wasted how many weeks now? How much is your time worth waiting? More than $5.99?
I don't mean to be an ass...im a pretty mellow easy going guy...but cmon...$5.99 plus shipping or wasting weeks waiting for an answer? It's called opportunity cost. In my books, probably because I have a family etc, my time is worth a lot more per hour than a $6 part.
However, if just want the challenge of doing it yourself fine, I understand:

hi !
try this :
----- green - yellow - red - brown - black
---- white - grey - orange - blue
this has been tested by a friend of mine, it should works
tell us, good luck !
-
I had to make one of these up, but I remembered there is a problem with the grounding, so make sure you have a keyboard plugged into the X Arcade.
-
thx for the advise,
before failure, my x-arcade was only connected to USB port, no connection into PS2, and worked fine.

Hi there, i know this post has been dead for too long but I just wanted to start where you left.
Did this work? I have an x-arcade without any cables. The cable from pcb to db9 is also broken so I just wanted to know if it is possible to take out from the pcb connector the USB and the ps2 without needing the serial port in the middle. Thanks a lot! I have been trying to copy with a tester the cable between the pcb connector and the USB (from another x-arcade) but I haven't succeeded.
Thanks in advance
