Does anyone what level start the need of an HI and LOW option on a spinner. Highest score i got so far was 15400. I cleared about 8 boards but i think there are 2 boards per level so i guess i was on level 4

level 7 by my count. I got there with a score of 17200.
at some point, you can throw discs off the ceiling and destroy your opponents platforms, but I've only gotten there once. had a score of 50k that game.
inp recorded if you want to check it out. got to around 30k. recorded with 32 bit MAME version .129 + hi score/no nag patch. lots of pauses between levels because I was taking notes.
PS: I love my turbo twist hi/lo spinner!

never tried TT HI-LOW I have TT2 and Apache HI low Sik Spiner spins for ever! how can i see the inp recorded i tried downloading that link but didnt work
-
have you used inps before? first unzip it and put it in the input folder. then add "-replay dotron.inp" to your command line
you might need to track down version .129 of MAME

no never used inps before but i have .129 For some reason when i click to download it doesnt work tried on 3 different computers. where do you go to edit the command line is the input folder INP folder I really want to see you smashing platform

Discs of Tron is my all-time favorite. My all-time high score on this game is 92100. The boards sequence is as follows:
Board 1 - 1 disc
Board 2 - 2 discs
Board 3 - 3 discs
Board 4 - 2 discs and wall that splits
Board 5 - 1 disc and shielding wall
Board 6 - 3 discs - middle down
Board 7 - 3 discs - middle up
Board 8 - 3 discs - middle alternating up and down
Board 9 - 3 discs - all alternating up and down
Board 10 - 3 discs - middle alternating up and down and Hi-Lo available
Board 11 - 3 discs - all alternating up and down and Hi-Lo available
Board 12 - 3 discs
After that Boards 6-12 repeat.

i didn't get that far in that run. I just got to where you can do hi/lo stuff. I think I'm confused on what constitutes a level, because by my count, it was level 7 where the hi / low stuff started.
i've got no problem downloading. to replay, just use an msdos prompt, cd to your mame folder, and type "mame dotron -replay dotron.inp"
and be sure the inp is in the inp folder

I don't remember what version this used to be available...perhaps as far back as .69 (like being able to use a spinner for 720 is)....I used my freakin trackball on up/down boards. Wasn't bad. Far as I know, this is set up in Mame but don't work still. <shrugs> I never got the hang of making ceiling shots though.

yeh i finally broke 30,000 i was able to use my hi-Lo spinner This game is awsome. The hologram popped up cool and then it said to use up and down on the spinner. MY new favorite game :notworthy:

I just played on .69, and yes the trackball does work for up and down. It is a little wonky, though. But what's weird as hell is I've gotten up to about forty grand or so before and gotten only a little farther I think. This time I topped at 24700 on the fourth all-three-discs-variable screen. Hmmmm.
I just checked, and 51400 may be my highest score.
...later: yeah, see, I just made thirty grand even by the second variable-level board, so obviously it didn't work right back then. Way wrong. Of course .104 the trackball don't work for up/down. Now to check whether .134 does.
....a little later: nope. Still don't work. Stupid.
