Greetings. I am looking for a source for some hardware for my cabinet. I don't even know what they are called, so I haven't been able to google them. Here is a picture of one that I found here on the site, although there are other designs that look similar:

I am guessing they are for pimping out a car stereo system or gaming computer - the electricity dances around the surface. I need mine to be 6" in diameter so hopefully they come in different sizes. (the one pictured is 12")
Any information what these are and were I can find them would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

They are usually referred to as plasma discs. I know that Spencer's (http://www.spencersonline.com/) usually has them in stores but not online. Just don't take any kids into the store. It has a lot of "adult" themed stuff in it.

Also referred to as "Luma Disc" by some.

I think I've seen others use bigger ones, maybe they can chime an point those out too.

Yeah, search this forum, I remember a couple projects that used them.

Thanks everyone. Now that I know what to search for, I was able to find a few sources and ordered them for my cabinet.

And in the 80s they were even dimly-lit! Pre-junior high I'd go in there and not know what the hell a lot of the stuff was or was for. These days, if they ain't findin, or at least hearing about, much racier stuff online they must be Hamish.
