Hi,
Quick question: Does anyone know which file MAME writes to when changing things around in the TAB menu?
I recently changed things around severly with my controls in MAME using TAB, but I'd like to revert back to my custom changes that I used to have before I started tinkering with it (not default, just my original custom settings). I backed up the entire MAME directory before I tinkered with stuff, but I figured it would be easier to simply drop the one file and overwrite it, restoring my custom settings that I had before, instead of the entire MAME directory.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

in the cfg folder. default.cfg is for input maps for all games. gamename.ini has inputs and other stuff specific to that game.
edit: I assuming you didn't change the default settings for -cfg_directory

Yeah default.cfg, if you see that in your backed up files in the cfg folder, grab it and drop it in the cfg folder you have going now, its called default, but it saves whatever you're doing to it. If you WANTED default controls, you'd delete it and mame would make a new one, that's actually defaulted. Confused?

Yep, that did it. Good to know for the future too.
Thanks all!
