Title: Joust Arcade Cabinet Plans
Post by: battlecat on September 25, 2009, 10:29:05 am
Hi:

I am looking for a set of plans to refurbish a Joust arcade cabinet. I cannot seem to find anything via the all powerful Google. Anyone know of a set or a similar set of plans?

Thanks
Rich

I had no idea that they were the same cab! Thank you for responding so fast. In fact the putty that filled in the nail holes isn't even dry!

Hi:

Nope Jackobud has plans but they are just dimensional plans for the exterior. I'll do some google searches here.

Thanks!

actually it seems there are 2 versions of joust cab.

1 is a defender cab those are the rare ones

the 2nd and more common one is teh same as moon patrol but 2 inch's wider.. moon patrol is 24, joust is 26.

I know that there were two types of Robotron cab and that early Joust cabs used optical sticks instead of leafs, but hadn't heard of a Defender-styled factory Joust cab.

I suck at guessing cabs...all I knew was that Defender and Joust were made by Williams...and looking at photos...they looked similar...

nice picture cheffo, looks like i had it wrong.

2 versions of robotron.. although it does look like joust a bit it's not the same if you look carefully at the curves.

although what i said about moon patrol & joust is correct, they're the same except joust is 26, moon patrol 24 inch wide.

I haven't been by this way in a while but those cabinet profile picks would make beautiful posters. Anyone ....
