Alright, so I have a whole lot of games. And I hope to have at least a screenshot for everyone of them for my front end.
But the problem is that not every emulator has the option to take one.
Mame, Nes, Snes, and genesis, and gameboy are easy as pie.
Master system and gamegear, and 32x a little more confusing for me (it saves to tng format which i cant even view)
And my emulators for Wonderswan, Neo Geo Pocket Color, atari, commadore 64, and ps1 dont even seem to have an option for it.
Plus my turbo grafx emulator and lynx, dont work so great at taking snaps.
sooooo
I saw somewhere that someone claimed to take photos from within maximus arcade (which im using) but ive looked around and dont have a clue how to do this (other than via each emulator). Anyone know about this?
And if not, maybe someone can recommend a specific screen shoot program. Finding a program to take screenshots is simple. but one that will work via a hot key while the emulator is working and take them in png format is another thing.

In maximus arcade when you go to the properties (hitting control+p while maximus arcade is running) then click the "controller" tab, then "setup 2" on the window underneath the top tabs, then set a keyboard command for "screen capture" (I have mine set to hitting the number 9 on the keyboard). Run Maximus arcade again and when running a game hit 9 (or whatever you made the command) and it will now show up in the preview window for the game.

Yeah it's a kick-ass feature in Maximus.

Thanks thats been a big help. I thought it might have been a myth.
I had already done like 2000 the hard way. haha.
But ive been taking screenshots for literally the past 6 hours and still have a long way to go. I'm burnt out on it for now and need to work on some other stuff.
Thats the good thing about this project, if you get really burnt one one thing you can just go do another for awhile. It's a never ending battle.
