Title: Pressing P2 Start brings up Vol bar - how do I stop this?

Maybe I'm blind but I'm not seeing it in the MAME option menu... It's the bar on the bottom of the screen that says VOL with "db" there or something to change the volume of the game.  I want to disable this option somehow!

what is your player 2 start button mapped to?

check your mame config...open mame, hit tab, go to input general, user interface...and look at the first option which is On Screen Display.  by default it is mapped to the  ` key.  this is what is bringing up your volume slider.

I don't know why, but I always refer to it as the Tilde key (~), even though it's the shifted function. Weird habit I need to break....
