Almost done with my Mame cabinet. All I got left is sound and bezel. It has a left and right speaker on top. Whats a cheap little amp I can use to power those speakers?
-
i've always just used a set of PC speakers, or at least the amp from them.

Hmmmm. Will getting some usb powered pc speakers then pull out amp etc for the little speaker cabinet then take out speaker and and route wire to my arcade cabinet speaker work?

20 bucks aint bad, thats probably just about the right size power wise too.
most of the amps in a cheap pair of speakers will be the same.. probably around 2-4 watts.
look for a little DIL chip.
you can sometimes find cheap speakers for a few bucks.. that would be the most economical way of getting a small amp.

I don't know how the Sanyo D-amp is, but the Philips/NXP digital amplifier chips are pretty good. This one has a 2x70 watt TDA8920
This is the data sheet of the current model

I got it pretty fast delivered from Thailand.
