Title: How to remove buttons
Post by: Avinitlarge on September 17, 2009, 08:12:21 pm
How do I remove my buttons? The locking ring/nut winds all the way to the white plastic piece that holds the micro switch but cant go any further. Any suggestions. I imagine its easy when you know how

Allbutton nuts should go straight over the switch holder section once the switch is taken off - howelse do you suppose it got on there in the first place? If it's stuck it could be the thread is chewed, worn or filled with dust and grease. Give it some elbow, and a pushbutton wrench may help. Failing that, some wide-grip pliers.

That's a lampholder in the way....... PULL it out first.

Plumbers Wrench or wide gripped pliers would be the best, of course it will damage some plastic a bit when doing this but it should still work.

Like Kev said, that's a lampholder. Remove the switch, then twist the lampholder counter-clockwise. After that, you can remove the nut.

I must have been half asleep when I tried to do it last night. Tried it 1st thing this morning, The bulb/switch holder just pulls out then the locking ring is able to come off.
