Just wondering about this....is it possible? I ask because I have 3 8 pin WG chasis and 3 magnavox tvs with 10 pin yokes. Is there a way I can match wires on the chasis to the yokes?
-
Short answer: no.
Slightly longer answer: if you have a K7000 there are 7 and 10 pin varieties. You can swap tubes - as long as you have the corresponding neckboard.

I got a neckboard for the other 19" tube. Not a way to desolder the wires from the 8 pin and add the 10 pin?
-
Are they both K7000s?
-
Sadly, no. I'm not near it now so I can't check. How about a 10 pin tv board and tube soldered to a chassis with 8 pins?
-
I'm not aware of a way, sorry.
-
Crud. Well, how hard is it to find a @#$!#@$ 8 pin tube? TV repair shops all shrug and nobody is going to let me open their tv and check.
-
I have a bunch of them, and I need the other kind!

I'm wondering with a TV, since the tube has the same RGB guns on it, could one solder lines off the RGB on the neckboard somehow and just run those wires into the RGB from the jamma?
