Hey guys i need some help hooking up my dreamcast to my jamma arcade cabinet. The cabinet i have has a 15hz-24hz monitor. I have the dreamcast vga box, and a JPAC. Can i use these to make this work? I read some guides and have heard that you have to cut 1 wire in the vga box which i have already done. But when i hook it to my cabinet using the jpac i get a split screen effect. Screen is doubled and split down the middle. Any ideas?

why are you using a Jpac ???

Well i have the jpac on the cabinet because i was using it as a mame system. Thought it might make the process easier if i just use its VGA port.

If you've cut the wire on the VGA box you'll need to connect directly to the arcade monitor. I suspect this is your problem.

I mean even if i reconnect the wire it does the exact same thing. So i couldent get a jamma extender and wire onto that?

How do you have the jumpers set on the JPAC ?
I don't mess with these, but it sounds like you're still seeing a 31khz signal even through the JPAC. (split screen / double image)

I have the main red jumper on the 15hz, and then there is another jumper on the 31hz. I tried swithing them a little and it made the screen just turn VERY fuzzy where nothing could be made out. Maybe i cut the wrong wire then?

Dunno if you can see it in the pic, but i cut the whitish wire.
