Hi guys,
I found a Johnny Nero Action Hero Arcade Machine working. The only thing is that is out in the sun for a while. 80 dollars for it. I try 75 and he will not take so 80 will do it. Do you think it is worthed and maybe turn it into a mame cabinet.

never seen/played it before..
but all the cabinets i could find on google look like they'ed be good candidates, the flyer for it mentioned a kit so maybe it was only sold as a conversion kit and had no dedicated.. dunno.
anyway for 80 bucks does it have a working monitor? does the game work?
the game was suppose to come with 2 happ recoil light guns, so you could sell those..
start adding up in your head what works on teh machine and what you think the min you can get out of them.. if it all works then im sure it's over 80 bucks.. that way you can use it for justification for buying it.
now when you say it's been out in teh sun for a long time.. what you mean exactly? is there water damage? if so how bad? if it's real bad you'll have to replace wood as it will puff up and become very brittle.. wanna flake apart.
it sounds like it would be worth 80 bucks though.

It been out since they kicked out of the house. The story is that the kids play alot so the mom does not want the little one to play it everyday. The cabinet needs paints and the monitor is working but will i get it working with a pc for mame. It does have both guns and the art in fron of the cabinet is there. the arcade will look like this one. I saw one on craiglist for 600 dollars

well keeping in mind about the water damage (if there is any)
i'd buy it for 80 bucks.

It's a 2004 game with graphics that look like it came out in the mid 90's.
What I like about it is the 2-fisted option where you can play with both guns as 1 player.
I played it twice. That's all I have to say.

if you can get a working gun cabinet for $80, as long as there isnt any/very little water damage, i'd say go for it.

I can't understand why anyone would 'debate' about a decent working game with a 25" monitor for $80. It just boggles my mind!

Agreed, I paid £120 to get a cabinet with a broken Jamma board and a monitor that took me 3 years to correctly diagnose it's problems, and to me that was a good price. $80? I'd have bitten their arm off to get that.

I thought it was a good game and would get it myself.

The local arcade distributor is selling one for $650 right now. (But they are also selling a Ms Pacman for $1200, so....)
