I'd like to do this, How can I?
if it matters my monitor is a Orion 2012/2022.
I don't mean turn the monitor either.
-
If you don't mean by rotating the entire monitor, what /do/ you mean?
-
have it so games play vertical. Though I guess this would be controlled by the game itself, so if I bought a 48 in 1 that was vertical it would change itself.
-
No, you'd have to physically rotate the monitor 90 degrees.
-
So ok, I have been biting my tongue... but there is a way.
Depending on the tube and yoke. If the yoke is not bonded, loosen the yoke clamp, break any seals such as silicone on the rubber wedges.
Now rotate the yoke 90 degrees.
Adjsut the vertical and horizontal size... butv expect that when you adjust the horizonatl size for proper proportions, that you will have black on both the left and right sides.
Probably not the best solution as when you switch back to Horizontal games... the game is not oriented right.
Not for an amateur who worries about high voltage and such, but not all that hard, it takes me less tahn a couple of minutes.
Good luck

?!
:applaud:
Rick, does this change the orientation that the electron guns draw on screen as well? So that it draws up and down across the surface of a horizontal screen?
-
Most likely will work but turn down screensize to minimum before you try that.
