in the projects forum, NY to TX has a great cab with 2 360 steering wheels attached. Had an idea for pedals attached to bottom of cab. Bought a Thrustmaster Nascar T2, has metal pedals, Thinking about mounting them vertically, sticking out of a small slot at bottom front of cab. Maybe hack the two pots to separate axises on a dual stike? The goal is 2 player sprint, offroad and other 360 games.
The Formulas have a plastic shaft for the wheel that has a lot of friction, so the steel shaft in the Thrustmaster Chargers I think will still be better for the wheels.
here is before picture

here's a pic of the back, showing metal plate which i hope will be mount sturdy

and one final pic showing it mounted to board as a test. Thinking of separating the pedals so p1 & p2 each have a gas pedal.

Interesting..especially separating out the two pedals. Definitely let us know how it works!

is super sprint/off road just a spinner ?
cuz i remember whipping those wheels around like 10 times just to make a U-turn in the arcade.

night is right. I am confused as you have analog wheels but you refer to 360 games????
What sucks about wheels is you can have analog wheel/analog pedals, analog wheel/button pedals, optical wheel/analog pedals, optical wheel/buttons pedals for arcade games.
I plan on just having two optical wheels, two pedals, and 2 4 way shifters (which cna double as two ways). I plan on using my twistygrip yoke for 280 games. And I wouldn't have analog pedals, I rarely am not pushing all the way down ona pedal anyway :)

sorry for confusion, I am planning to hack the wheels to make them spin as 360's, like "NY to TX" in the projects forum.

Too bad oscarcontrols doesn't have the wheel anymore.

Good luck on the hack.
Another option is to search ebay. I got a bunch of wheels (polepostitions and a few others) really cheap. Basically paid for shipping...
Of course the shipping sucked and they all broke their encoder wheels... Need to contact Oscar.

BDSJAKE, man looks good!
Gotta give m some more detail on how your finishing that out. I have to admit, I've stalled out on finishing out my details. I've got 2 sets of pedals waiting to be hooked up and just haven't done the tinkering. My first idea was just to work around the pots and hook a micro switch into the pedal assembly and hook that into the IPAC. Basiclly that's the way I play Off road now... 1 hand on wheel and 1 hand on buttons (holding down gas and mashing the nitros)
Night & SirP, the PC wheels are just used for looks. The guts are basically a trackball.
