Thanks to 2600 for sending me a copy of Set49Mode.exe I am now hosting the Zip file at

I will leave there permanently for anyone whow needs it.

sorry but what exactly does this do? i take it has something to do with 49way joysticks but other then that im a bit clueless.

Not trying to hijack this thread - just wanted to mention that as an alternative to set49mode you can use LEDBlinky to program the GPWiz49 on the fly. True, LEDBlinky's primary purpose is to light up LEDs, but it has a 'No LEDs' mode for users with GPWiz49's or u360's and no LEDs. The one advantage LEDBlinky has over set49mode is it can be configured for any emulator (not just mame). Anyway, I'll shut up now :)

Good info to know about the LEDBlinky program. Now if I can only find a GPWiz49! :(
