is this available in any mame version or is it a special rom

I played a ms pacman today at the movie theater which ran real fast.
Not wanting to get off topic here, but is there a mame rom of ms pacman that also runs fast?

There's a speed hack rom, there's a cheat for the standard rom, and there is a code to enable it in the Ms Pac / Galaga combo set.

I found the fast version of JR pacman. Its in misfit mame .127 i used the original rom but the misfit mame has a dip switch option so you can speed it up. Anyone know where to find all of the other PACMAN games with in Mistfitmame WOW there must 100 maybe 200 roms just for pacman games alone in MISFITMAME

I'm not sure when it was removed, but at one point, they had all the fast pac-man variants via a dipswitch setting. At some point, they removed these, as they were a MAME hack, and added the real ROM versions. Unfortunately, Jr was removed in this process, and a fast Jr ROM wasn't added (even though they exist, as I've played several over the last couple months). I don't think it was ever re-added back in the official MAME version, unless it was one of the last versions. I have WolfMAME 78, which still had it, so if I feel like playing it, I boot up that version ;)

Hacks of licensed games make up a lot of MisfitMAME, so they aren't allowed.

My kid has glasses and there is a version of Pacman with glasses.  She thinks it's cool...

I kinda like the NewPuck2 that was done before the real roms were found for Mame.  I also like the Pac-Man after Dark where it says "Oh Sh*t!" when you get killed.

Of course, I am just a tad bit biased, as I made them....   :)
