Title: JAMMA PCB mount question
Post by: pharoah007 on August 17, 2009, 12:52:22 pm
I have a Midway MK2 cab at home that I am almost done restoring, wife called and said the new T-moulding was in.

So seeing as the game is going to have SFA2, Golden Tee "99" Mk1, 2, 3U &4, Killer instinct and a neo Geo 1 slot in it, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a "mount" that I can fabricate for all the boards.

I have done this before by just screwing the pcbs to EVERY surfice inside the machine, but it looked a bit slopp.

The neo Geo and the SFA2 will be on the walls by them self due to there shape, and in the case of the Neo, the fact that games need to be easy to swap.

But as for all the midway boards...I am looking to make some kind of "mount/cradle" to hold them all.

Do not worry about the diff control panels  needed as i have 3 diff ones that all fit and they are wired to quick connectors.

TIA all.

Some years ago, I recall seeing a custom mounting rack installed in a Multijamma cab -- held 8 boards -- but I'll be damned if I can find the link now.

Assuming you power the boards all at once, how do you avoid overheating things?

I myself will not be powering every board at the same time. I swap the JAMMA harness as needed. I leave all the "kick buttons" hooked up all the time tho
